A true holistic philosophy is the commitment to bring the patient from a diseased or injured condition through the necessary lifestyle changes to improve health and sustain an optimum state of wellness. True holistic healthcare requires time to thoroughly evaluate a patient’s health status and lifestyle before instituting an integrative approach to healing. Holistic chiropractors spend more time with their patients with the benefit that great sustained results can be accomplished.
At Flatiron Alternative Health, holistic chiropractic is a more well thought out and logical approach. It is a complete blend of eastern and western chiropractic principles utilizing the most modern and effective techniques known to chiropractic along with the proficient practice of acupressure meridians and muscle balancing techniques to bring about a reduction of systemic and muscular inflammation thereby creating an environment of healing. All chiropractic adjustments are performed on the Zenith 440 Hydraulic Table, a biomechanically engineered chiropractic table that shows dramatic results in fewer treatments. The table has several dropping pieces that accommodate each part of the body. Each dropping piece is then calibrated to an individual's weight for the correct dropping tension and is then activated with an air compressor thereby cushioning each vertebral adjustment with air. Along with the use of this, time is spent at each visit integrating the status of the muscular, skeletal and soft tissue systems with a gentle and effective blend of treatment that can be accomplished on your lunch hour.
MODERN CHIROPRACTIC involves supine and prone adjustments, which allows for no micro-trauma to the ligaments of the musculoskeletal system. At Flatiron Alternative Health, this is the only method utilized to ensure that no ligament trauma is a result of any chiropractic treatment. Structural problems are corrected in a patient's spine by determining the primary diagnosis and what activities have caused the problem. Time proven methods are then taught to the patient to ensure that symptoms do not return.
"The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care
of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease."
